About Noa Tishby
Noa Tohar Tishby is an Israeli actress, producer, writer, author, and activist.
Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in May 1975, she comes from a Jewish family involved in the establishment of Israel.
Tishby served in the Israeli army.
She began acting at age 8 in commercials and achieved fame in Israel in the 1990s, appearing in the television drama Ramat Aviv Gimmel and starring in a production of West Side Story .
After moving to Los Angeles, Tishby sold the Israeli TV show “In Treatment” to HBO, making history as the first Israeli TV show to become an American series.
She is a New York Times best-selling author of Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth.
Tishby served as Israel’s former Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism and Delegitimization.
She founded the advocacy organization Act for Israel in 2011.
