We have occasionally shared their content here; both their families are still in Cuba, and they visit them frequently.
Both Yoel and Mari have firsthand knowledge of what is going on in Cuba and have been reporting on it, making them original sources. Also, Mari has earned a degree in political theory with an emphasis on U.S.-Cuba relations. Unlike Yoel and Mari, anyone who has not been to the area (such as Cuba) for a long stay (we are talking years) and is reporting on it based on whatever information can be verified is known as a filtered resource.
