How We Started
What started in December 2021 as a semi-retirement, something to keep me busy and out of my wife’s hair, yet keep us informed while she learns English, has become a blessing for all of us.
We didn’t seek subscribers in earnest until April of this year (192 subs at the time), but our efforts have been blessed by gaining nearly 10,000 subscribers in 3 months.
Thank you for joining us through my Newsletter as well as our Notes.
Our mission is simple - to provide impactful content that is often overlooked or buried by current events through our newsletters, while reminding us of our humanity, soul, and spirit through the Notes section.
And most importantly, we thank God for all the blessings we have been able to share as well as receive through this platform.
We Have a 2nd Substack - DLN Recommends
In addition to the Decisive Liberty News Newsletter, which offers content from me, Peter Baum, as well as other contributors found on X, Telegram, and other websites we follow, we offer a 2nd newsletter that shares headlines from the 100s of Substacks we follow, which we believe you may be interested in or which may impact your lives.
Given the volume it generates, DLN Recommends is a separate subscription, keeping our content from being buried in the 15+ posts generated daily in our DLN Recommends Newsletter.
The delivery to your inbox is about once an hour, but not every hour of the day - anywhere from 10 to 15 newsletters a day, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Our Notes - Life Without Politics
In our Notes section of this newsletter, you will find short videos and images to help you break away from the political warfare going on everywhere.
You will have to visit our Notes online or in the Substack app, as a subscription option is not available for this.
Notes is one of the biggest draws to Substack, meaning you will find many other accounts posting in the Substack Notes as well.
You will find plenty to go through in our Notes as we post 30+ notes throughout the day, 7 days a week - coming home reunions, relationships, overcoming challenges, pets, horses, safaris with surprises, and much, much more.
Just be forewarned, anyone bringing politics into the comments of our notes will be blocked without question.
When we say without politics, we mean without politics…

Access to our online library of 1000+ resources we use to research our own content - this library grows daily! This requires substantial resources to build and keep operational, as it is currently unstructured and needs to be organized for easier use by the public. No date as to when this will be launched due to the demands lately resulting from very busy news cycles, but it is the top priority outside of maintaining this Substack, our DLN Recommends Substack, and Notes.
