As a reminder, we are providing the best possible detailed reporting we can find on the events in Brazil due to several factors…
communist affiliation - though Lula has publicly shared he wants to direct Brazil into Socialism, his history, actions, and idolization of Fidel Castro heavily indicate that his ultimate goal is communism
China - Lula has kept a quiet distance from any liberty-based ally country while strengthening his ties with China and North Korea through agriculture and trade
geographical - Brazil is the largest country in South America, Central America as well, meaning Brazil has a lot of resources available to many countries. It1s location provides the shortest flight distance to and from Europe and Africa than any other part of South America and all of Central and North America.
geopolitical - protecting Liberty in Brazil is paramount for all of South America, should Brazil fall from Liberty and into the clutches of Socialism, it will take a multi-dimentional warfare to regain Liberty in Brazil. Their military is the 2nd largest in the Southern hemisphere, but that does not guarantee squat when it comes to Liberty.

During a hearing in the National Congress, the former head of the US State Department Mike Benz denounced that …
Brazilian fact-checking agencies were financed by the Biden administration to destabilize the 2022 elections in Brazil; he warned that all of this was financed by USAID and in collaboration with the CIA in the logistics sector
joint action by the CIA and the Democratic Party against the Brazilian internet began at the end of 2018, after the victory of then-president Jair Bolsonaro
Democrats believed that the internet and the mobilization of digital hate groups would be responsible for Bolsonaro's victory in the elections.
Former U.S. State Department official Mike Benz stated that the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), under former President Joe Biden’s administration, used institutions linked to the Democratic Party to interfere in Brazil’s elections following the results of the 2018 presidential race, which was won by then-President Jair Bolsonaro.
In testimony before the Foreign Relations Committee of the Chamber of Deputies (Credn), Benz accused organizations such as the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the National Democratic Institute (NDI), and the Atlantic Council of acting as instruments of the intelligence agency to influence Brazil’s political environment during the 2022 election.

Benz also stated that the NDI launched the “Design 4 Democracy” coalition less than a month after Jair Bolsonaro’s victory in the 2018 presidential election.
According to him, the initiative aimed to “cover up the CIA’s actions” and began accusing the Brazilian internet of having contributed to the election outcome.
Still, according to Benz, the Atlantic Council - an entity funded by U.S. government agencies and composed of former CIA directors - allegedly formed partnerships with Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in 2022.
The organization is said to have offered training and guided the removal of online content based on criteria established outside of Brazil.
Mike Benz also accused Brazilian fact-checking outlets of acting as “censorship tools” in service of the U.S. government.
According to him, 24 agencies that make up the Comprova Project were “American puppets,” funded by bodies such as the U.S. State Department, USAID, and the NED.

President of Itaú, also known as the “Brazilian BlackRock,” says the bank will comply with the Magnitsky Act in Brazil.
The statement was made by CEO Milton Maluhy Filho after being questioned about the enforcement of the law by the United States, which imposed sanctions on Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes.
According to the executive, Itaú maintains a policy of constant monitoring and compliance with legal requirements in the countries where it operates.
“We comply with local and international regulations and legislation from all countries,” Maluhy said when asked about potential effects of the American sanctions on the bank’s operations.
Maluhy also emphasized that, due to its global operations, Itaú is used to dealing with various regulatory frameworks.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) stated that the United States government cannot interfere in the regulation and oversight of big tech companies operating in Brazil.
He emphasized that platforms unwilling to comply with Brazilian legislation are free to leave the country.
“This country is sovereign, it has a Constitution, a legal framework. It is our duty to regulate whatever we deem necessary, in accordance with the interests and culture of the Brazilian people.
If they don’t want regulation, they can leave Brazil.
There is no other mechanism.
Just as a Brazilian company must follow U.S. law when operating there,” Lula stressed in an interview with Reuters news agency.
Lula said he has “nothing against” Trump, despite having once called him a 21st-century Nazi, and confirmed he plans to invite the former president to the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 30), which will be held from November 10 to 21 in Belém, Pará.
Additionally, the president stated he may meet with the current U.S. president during the United Nations General Assembly in New York this September.

Justice Moraes is the key architect of the censorship and persecution complex directed against Bolsonaro and his supporters. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) summoned the US ambassador after Donald Trump announced new sanctions against Supreme Court (STF) justices.
Our note: the U.S. Embassy in Brazil does not have an ambassador as the previous Biden-appointment was dismissed and kept the Charges d’Affaires in place (they enjoy the same privileges and immunities as an ambassador under international law, but are outranked by ambassadors at formal diplomatic events). Taurus (TASA4) will begin transferring its main assembly line of the G series firearms from Rio Grande do Sul (RS) to its U.S. facility, in response to tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump and the lack of willingness by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to resolve the issue
Since April, Taurus has been reinforcing its finished product inventory in the United States as a preventive measure to supply the American market.
In addition, to avoid the 50% tax, the company has also advanced exports of certain gun parts and components to the U.S., especially magazines.
86-year legacy in absolute risk:
In the late 1930s, while Europe saw the borders of several countries being invaded by Germany’s military force, giving rise to World War II, in Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Forjas Taurus was founded through the initiative of a group of friends: Ademar Orlando Zanchi, Eugênio Ervin Hausen, Herbert Müller, João Kluwe Júnior, João Guilherme Wallig, and Oscar Henrique Purper.
Many challenges had to be overcome at the time of its creation. The lack of raw materials, such as steel for production and petroleum to power the machinery, was a constant hurdle. In the mid-1990s, it received the ISO 9000 seal from Inmetro and the Brazilian Institute of Nuclear Quality; certification from RWTÜV (Rheinisch Westfälischer Technischer Überwachungs-Verein e V) in Essen, Germany. Upon reaching 60 years of history, it became one of the three largest manufacturers of handguns in the world, with customers in more than 70 countries across five continents.
Today, headquartered in São Leopoldo (RS) with a workforce of two thousand people, Taurus exports to more than 100 countries, producing 4,600 firearms, 85% of which are destined for the foreign market. In the United States, it built a new facility in Georgia, having partially started production in September of last year, with plans to fully explore its potential by early 2020. With this new factory, the expectation is to produce 800,000 firearms per year.
