Trump Suspends ‘Tech Prosperity Deal’ With UK Over Censorship and Regulations by ‘Online Safety Bill’ Hurting US Tech Companies
by Paul Serran, The Gateway Pundit (excerpt)
After the new National Security Strategy and the latest Donald J. Trump interviews, there’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that the US President will deal in a much stricter fashion with the European ‘allies’.
From now on, implementing deranged policies that infringe basic human rights and hurt US interests will have a price.
Now, Trump has suspended the ‘Tech Prosperity Deal’ with the UK over its censorship push.
GB News’ Political Editor Christopher Hope reacts, calling it ‘a disaster’…

After President Trump published The National Security Strategy (NSS) last week, Britain published their own by command of the Royal family - it was a counterpoint to every point President Trump has in his document.

Censorship is the least of the improprieties of the British Govt.
Remarkable that tech policy is now a major diplomatic leverage point. The UK's Online Safety Bill basically treats US companies as enforcemetn arms of british speech codes, which fundamentally clashes with First Amendment culture. I've seen similar tensions play out in other jurisdictions where governments try to outsource censorship to private platforms rather than doing it openly themselves. The suspension sends a clear signal that regulatory overreach on speech will have real costs for bilateral relations.
