The enemy is trying everything he can to destroy you, your family, your loved ones, your life…
Whether that enemy is someone full of hate, despite, greed, Ebenezer Scrooge the 2nd, doesn’t matter.
Being thankful for everything that is happening to us and declaring that you are blessed with just the opposite will open the heavens to those blessings.
We know it works as we spent more than a year declaring the blessings that others were trying to steal from us and boom - we had nearly every blessing we proclaimed come at us for months.
We even tripled the size of our house in the process.
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Notice this verse says to what to do - in everything give thanks…
It does not tell you how to give thanks.
It also does not say for everything… but in everything.
We thank God every time something happens - good or bad, even indifferent.
When bad, we thanked Him for everything not making it worse than it is but also just declaring out loud, “Thank God, aren’t we blessed!”
Doesn’t jive with the bad event? So what, declarations have nothing to do with your present situation or circumstances.
It has everything to do with what you want.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t listen to your emotions, He listens to your voice, your words (good and bad nonetheless).
He will grant you what you desire by how you wag your tongue.
If you have ever found yourself ‘hung by the tongue’, you brought it on yourself.
There are no coincidences.
Watch your tongue, your attitude, your perspective, and give thanks IN everything for 3 months - you won’t recognize
Read or reread the Book of Job, this time paying attention to his tongue, his attitude, and his perspective through the test God permitted Satan to put him through - and let it all sink in.
Better still, do it with a Bible study partner - and let the thoughts and Spirit flow.
We will be taking the weekend off to catch up on some projects. We will also be keeping all our followers and subscribers in our prayers as we pray for your Thanksgiving weekend to become a blessing that you never expected, and a very good blessing at that.
