BREAKING ANALYSIS: BRAZILIAN MILITARY VOTER SYSTEM AUDIT (12-November)

'The Technical Report on the Inspection of the Electronic Voting System by the Armed Forces, attached, was prepared by the team of military technicians, created pursuant to the TSE Resolution No. 23.673/2021, and composed of career officers specialized in management and operation of information technology systems, computer engineering, cyber defense, telecommunications engineering, among other specialties.

First, it was observed that the occurrence of access to the network, during the compilation of the source code and consequent generation of the programs (binary codes), can configure a relevant risk to the security of the process. Second, from the functionality tests, carried out through the Integrity Test and the Pilot Project with Biometrics, ***it is not possible to say that the electronic voting system is free from the influence of any malicious code that could alter its functioning.***

Consequently, I ask the Electoral Court to comply with the suggestions made by the military technicians in the sense of: carrying out a technical investigation to better understand what happened in the compilation of the source code and its possible effects; and *** promote a thorough analysis of the binary codes that were effectively executed in the electronic voting machines.***

(...) For this, I suggest, as a suggestion, the creation of a specific commission, made up of renowned technicians from society and technicians representing the inspection entities. 8. In view of the importance of the electoral process for the political and social harmony of Brazil, I also request that this Superior Court consider the urgency of considering this proposition.'

Moraes Response

Minister Alexandre de Moraes sent a request (16-Nov) from Deputy Marcelo Calero to the Attorney General's Office to remove the Minister of Defense, General Paulo Sérgio Nogueira.

In the request, filed on November 11, Calero alleges that Nogueira has been making statements about alleged fraud in the electoral process, acting on behalf of President Jair Bolsonaro and his allies.

He recalls that the Ministry of Defense itself did not point out the existence of electoral fraud.

For the deputy, the minister's permanence puts at risk the physical integrity of citizens who would be "almost involuntarily encouraged" to support the Brazilian constitutional rupture.

The Brazilian Army releases official note condemning the attack on the Armed Forces that politicians and judges have been carrying out in recent days

Such publications have been characterized by the malicious and criminal attempt to reach the honor military personnel with more than forty years of services rendered to Brazil, as well as to tarnish the unshakable cohesion of the Army of Caxias.

By anonymously and cowardly trying to spread disinformation within the Force and the Society, these groups or individuals only attest to their lack of ethics and professionalism.

The Brazilian Army remains cohesive and united, always in its constitutional missions, having in the Hierarchy and Discipline of its members the amalgam that makes it respected by the Brazilian People, your guarantor.

Moraes has been gaining a lot of negative attention even from his allies - based upon his actions since before the elections to now, this has only increased his thirst for power and control.

Multiple Bolsonaro supporters had their Twitter and Gettr accounts shut down by his orders - both Elon Musk and Jason Miller are looking into the matter and have already sent a request to the court for a review - most likely those will find their way to the trash bucket.

The ONLY thing Moraes is accomplishing is presenting the opportunity for Citizen journalists to be reporting what is happening - VPNs are easily gained and to date, no company offering VPNs will provide the original source unless they can provide proof of a national security threat.

Moraes did attempt such a move with Interpol and they threw his request into the trash bucket for all anyone knows.

Moraes is not a very good student of history as any judge in this predicament has lost big time - sometimes at the cost of their own lives…

Meanwhile, At the Brazil Stock Market

The Brazil Stock Exchange records a sharp drop, with the market reflecting PEC Transition / PEC da Transição

At 10:40 am, the Ibovespa falls 2.16%, to 107,861 points.

Investors are reflecting on the draft of the PEC that was delivered the day before.

The proposal foresees higher expenses in 2023 and suggests removing the Auxílio Brasil, which will become Bolsa Família, from the spending cap in a definitive way.

At 10:33 am, the dollar rises 1.83%, quoted at R$ 5.47, but has advanced 2% earlier in the day.

Investors increase concerns with the public accounts from 2023 as the proposal presented yesterday provides for an extra value of about $ 200 billion, above the previously projected (about $ 175 billion) and without a fixed term, which will be negotiated still with Congress as well as the final value of the PEC.

Historically there are 2 lows in the past 5 years, June 2018 saw 72,763 and March 2020 witnessed 73,020 - most economists internationally are expecting both of these lows to become highs in Brazil’s stock market in the near future…

Not a very good look for Lula but then again, what can one expect from a known corrupt politician who stole an election and has a loyalist that will run interference for him?

Brutus was once a loyalist too…

And as we are seeing as long as the people are standing with the Constitution their military will back them up - not the court…
