The 1st 24 HRS AFTER BRAZIL ELECTIONS
Order and Progress is their motto on their flag - Lula is anything but...
First, A Note
If you want to keep up with the events building up in Brazil, we highly recommend 2 English speaking Telegram channels
Paul Serran - https://t.me/PaulSerran
Tupi Report - https://t.me/tupireport
Tupi has very reliable sources throughout Brazil and has been growing incredibly since the elections - he was at about 2600 subscribers just before the elections and has now surpassed 7600. Just be aware his English is sometimes flawed but still understandable.
Paul is more laid back but does offer some insights you may not see on Tupi and is excellent with the English language.
If you’re really interested in following the events online, we highly recommend the Mate Translate extension for any browser.
A Little Background About Us
I am an American expat currently in Sao Paulo state of Brazil. My wife is Brazilian, still working, and I’m refusing to retire. Before we married and given the Brazilian culture, I had 2 choices: either I moved her and her family to the States or I had to move to Brazil. I was closing in on retirement, she still had a few years to retirement - so I moved to Brazil. That was 10+ years ago and haven’t been bored since…
Our blog is called Decisive Liberty News which we maintain on our own servers.
Day 1 After the Elections
It started out this morning mostly in the Northern States where Lula supposedly won. In actuality, he gained only the state of Nordeste which is the home of many criminals and Brazilian cartel and did so 69-31% — all other states Bolsonaro won by more than 50%. This haws been proven by multiple independent Brazilian resources, most of them Portuguese speaking only. The lack of English by many in the communications field is really hurting Brazil as it takes longer to get the word out. They haven't seen an urgency to know English until now and well, now is never too late but it sure would have helped if they took it much more seriously years before. The education system is now making English mandatory but that generation is still under 22 years of age.
The roads are being blocked by both truckers and agribusiness equipment (farming) by Bolsonaro supporters and they are out in droves. Once the workday finished, the number and size of protests exploded as well as where they were being held. We are in the state of Sao Paulo but far enough northeast of the city of Sao Paulo not to be affected. At least, for now. We will have to see how things go for the rest of the week.
Brazilian Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexandre Moraes has always done his best to be hated and would lack any leverage if it were not for Lula who installed him in their Supreme court before he was removed from office for corruption.Of course, Moraes, manipulated the law to annul all those charges, paving the way for Lula to run once again - or should we say, steal once again - for the Presidency.
For now, it appears all levesl of the police (Civil, Miliary, and Federal) are not stopping Bolsonaro supporters and in many cases can be seen demonstrating with them. The military has been keeping its distance verbally but their presence known everywhere - which is a wise move as no one, including the enemy (Lula's camp) knows what they are going to do next. Based upon their actions with the 1st round of elections, the military is defending their country and their constitution and not any political party nor politician.
As for Lula's actions, he has already started several efforts to move some government operations into secrecy - breaking his campaign promise for transparency in less than 18 hours since stealing the election.
Will have more in the coming days until things - if they ever - calm down. We do know we have accelerated our own plans for travel and are hoping we can do so on our own pace. Only God knows at this point...
What is most evident is this…
Lula is no leader, he…
disappeared from the internet while spending time with his crime buddies in Bahia
did not try to dialogue with Bolsonaro voters
blames Bolsonaro for the democratic acts
From where we are sitting the fastest way to resolve everything is to recall the election and have the military overlook another election - no civilians nor members of the Electoral Justice involved. Now, if Moraes weren’t so defensive this would be possible - however, he is hiding something and pretending we don’t know what it is so he’ll have to be forced into such a situation.
Meanwhile, Brazilians have had enough…
