Substack Locked Her Out of Her Account Due to Australia's “Online Safety Act”
Yet another solid reason why we are rebuilding our web site...
“Her” is Efrat Fenigson - 5000 subscribers, 10,000 followers on Substack, much more elsewhere - and as she explains in her video, it was a one-time access during her 2-week visit in Australia that started everything. No more spoilers, listen to her video…
After 3 weeks, her account was finally released from digital prison…
Which also means her revenue during those 3 weeks took a nose-dive.
The problem here is Substack is permitting one sovereignty to control everything outside of that sovereignty - that is akin to totally ignoring the rights of sovereignty and doing as one damn well pleases.
If Substack isn’t willing to stand up for their account holders, then why are we even on Substack?
