The essay below has taken much research.
It evidences beyond reasonable doubt that the Palestinian claim to Jerusalem is not based on any Islamic religious connection but simply used as a political strategy by Israel’s opponents as an excuse to claim more land.
Never forget the words written by Joseph Farah, an eminent Arab historian, and essayist…
There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs indistinguishable from Jordanians ( another recent invention ), Syrians, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of one percent of the landmass. But that’s too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today… No matter how many land concessions or political concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough.
The Palestinian claim to Jerusalem is not and has never been connected to Islam.
It is a modern political strategy that has transformed myth into fact.
Supporters of Israel should challenge the absurd religious Islamic claims to Jerusalem and underscore the growing view that because of these sacrilegious claims by Palestinians and their supporters the Islamic world will continue to suffer the current tumult, atrocities, and violence so common throughout Islam.
Muslims who support the Palestinian claims to Jerusalem are defying the Quran and mocking Allah.
All non-Muslims with similar political, pro-Palestinian, and/or anti-Jewish State of Israel ideology are also guilty of mocking Allah and Islam.
Jerusalem (nor Palestine) is ever mentioned in the Quran – as opposed to Jerusalem is mentioned nearly 700 times in the Old Testament thus evidencing the ties of Judaism to Jerusalem.
How absurd, politically inconvenient, religiously and historically mythical, therefore, is the claim that Jerusalem is of significance to Muslim Palestinians.
Moreover, how disrespectful to Islam are those Muslims who support these false connections to their religion – indeed they mock Islam by supporting the Palestinians as does any other pro-Palestinian supporter basing such support on Islamic claims to the City of Jerusalem.
There are numerous Suras within the Quran that validate beyond any doubt whatsoever, in explicit detail no less, that the State of Israel is promised, bestowed, entrusted with sovereignty, and bequeathed to the Jewish People by Allah Himself.
Through boring and disciplined research, reference, and cross-referral to numerous, global sources, I shall list those Quranic passages proving that according to Allah, Israel has been promised to the Jewish People.
For the sake of brevity and hopefully to maintain your attention, I shall therefore only quote a few Suras while noting the others for reference.
Quran 5:20 – 21 actually relays the words of Moses to the Israelites to “settle the Land”
O my people, call in remembrance the favour God gave unto you, when he produced prophets among you, made you Kings, and gave to you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. O my people, enter the Holy Land which God has assigned to you and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin.
Furthermore, those who use religious Islamic claims to justify Palestinian rights are in direct contravention again of Quranic teachings (as if the Sura above needed any support which it does not) as the Quran explicitly requires the Jewish People to return to Israel before The Last Judgment.
Quran 17:104
Allah said to the Children of Israel, Dwell securely in The Promised Land. And when the last warning will come to pass , we will gather you together in a mingled crowd.
The Qur’an and the Land of Israel – Temple Mount (link / archive)
THE QUR’AN SAYS THAT ALLAH GAVE THE LAND OF ISRAEL
TO THE JEWS AND WILL RESTORE THEM TO IT
AT THE END OF DAYS.
THE QUR’AN SAYS: “To Moses, We [Allah] gave nine clear signs.
Sura 17:001 refers to Muhammad’s Night Journey …or alleged Night Journey relating to the Sacred Mosque and the Furthest Mosque.
Palestinians and their supporters claim that the Furthest Mosque is the Al- Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
In previous centuries the Furthest Mosque was identified either with Medina or Jirana, both now in Saudi Arabia.
The Ummayads built the Dome of the Rock on the site of the Jewish Temple and then in 715 AD built a Mosque on the Temple Mount and called it, Al-Masjid Al Aqsa, the Furthest Mosque.
As Muhammad died in 632 AD and not one Mosque had existed in Jerusalem until 715 AD, whatever Mosque the Night Journey relates to it certainly was not the one in Jerusalem.

Now if all the above needs further explanation that both Muslim and non-Muslim supporters of the religious claims of Palestinians to Jerusalem are false and indeed defying and mocking Islam, then the following Suras are yet further proof.
2;40 All these will
2;47 support and
2;63 validate that
2;65 the land of Israel,
2;83 the Holy Land
2;85 is bestowed upon
2;87 Judaism and not
2;121 to Islam.
2;122 – as an example…
O Children of Israel call to mind the special favor which I bestowed upon you and that I preferred You to all other Nations.
as a typical example of recorded, documentary evidence.
3;187 Again, all these Suras will
5;12 provide further proof of
5;20 Judaism’s religious
5;70 sovereignty as per the Quran
Allah made a people inheritors of lands both East and West lands whereon We sent down our blessings . The promise of the Lord was fulfilled for The Children of Israel because they had patience and constancy and We leveled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people proudly erected.
Yet another typical example.
Please note that the phrase East and West is the Promised Land of Israel including both sides of the River Jordan.
7;159 The proof of Allah
14; 6/7 bestowing modern
10;193 day Israel to the
20:80 Jewish people and not
28;3 to Palestinians, Hamas,
32;22 or Fatah is undeniable
40;53 and such followers of
45;17 Islam is in total defiance
57;26 of the Quran and indeed
59;2 are making fun of the Quran.
Now please note one very important point.
The Quran undoubtedly refers to the Children of Israel as the collective term used to describe the Jewish People and as I have proved beyond any doubt, the Land of Israel has been given to the Jewish People by Allah.
However, the Quran is quite insulting and harsh on the ‘Yahudis’ but this term while referring to Jews actually means specifically the militant Jews (or Judeans) of Medina.
Do not fall into the trap that the Quran is not specific on Jewish land ownership of Israel as some commentators use the insults to ‘Jews’ to support the Palestinian/Islamic sovereign rights which are totally non-existent within Islam.
The Zionist Quran
The Quran itself verifies with a detailed explanation that Allah promised the land of the modern State of Israel to the Jewish People.
Are Muslims denying the words of Allah or is the Quran a Zionist document?
Given that Jerusalem is never mentioned in the Quran and as proven is of no religious significance to Islam it is unsurprising that historically Islam had no interest in the Jewish Capital.
Muslims, in fact, turn their backs on Jerusalem as a sign of contempt – Mohammed directed this when Jews converted to Islam, in order to stop paying taxes as it was forbidden for Muslims to tax other Muslims.
However, some Jews secretly kept to Judaism and Mohammed redirected the direction of prayer which he formerly demanded on discovering the secret non-conformists.
Jerusalem was never an Arab Capital City and in fact, The Temple Mount was desecrated numerous times by Muslims.
Paradoxically it was originally called Bayt al-Muqaddas which means built on the Mikdash or the Jewish Temple.
This Islamic ultra-religious and political connection to the Temple Mount is very recent.
Being the third most important site to Islam does not precede the early 1930s and was devised by the Nazi-loving Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini.
When Jordan had control between 1948 and 1967 no Arab or Muslim Head of State went to Jerusalem to pray.
One must surely conclude that the Palestinians and their supporters have usurped and lied about religious teachings within the Quran and true faithful Muslims have paid and continue to pay an enormous human price as war, turmoil, death and destruction ravage the world of Islam.
Why oh why do none of our commentators highlight these obvious factors and why does the world continue to believe in the myths that Jerusalem is of importance to the Palestinians – themselves a modern invention?
If Jerusalem was of such importance to the Palestinians, then why did the PLO not even note the name of Jerusalem in their Charter of 1964?
Irrespective of all these truths, every anti-Israeli, anti-Zionist, antisemite, and pro-Palestinian believes that the Palestinian claim to Jerusalem is a justified religious and historical right.
And it most certainly is not.
They may as well believe that the Earth is flat.
Why have the supporters of Israel either been so incompetent or so reluctant to dispel the myths surrounding the Islamic and Palestinian religious claims to Jerusalem? Never on TV debates have I seen any pro-Israel politician or commentator argue these simple points – they are unanswerable and if it were a legal dispute in any courtroom, our side would win easily.
This from one of my fellow contributors, Mark Henry Casson is a first-hand account of the Islamic contempt for Jerusalem…
A recent article makes great play about East Jerusalem being the hoped-for Capital of a Palestinian State. I’m am certain that this will never be allowed to happen. I was there. Only the Jews have ever been the careful and loving custodians of all of Jerusalem. The Arabs have proven that they are not fit for the task. In 1947 the majority of Jerusalem’s population was Jewish. The Jordanians occupied it, destroyed and ransacked 58 Synagogues, and dispossessed and expelled all Jews. Two weeks after the Six-Day War In 1967 I was there. The smell was abominable. Sides of beef and lamb were hanging in the doorways of the butcher shops, covered in flies. Feces flowed in the gutters and children with “white eye” blindness roamed the alleyways. The very old and the very young sat huddled in doorways showing limbs with festering sores. Headstones from the ancient Mount of Olives cemetery had been used as doorsteps to houses and sequestered for building materials. This is the love of Jerusalem that Arabs profess to cherish! I was there. I saw it and I was sick and angry. I think I am a liberal left-of-centre sort of person but I am adamant that Jerusalem must remain in Jewish control and protection in its entirety. The Arabs have forfeited any rights to any part of the city by their hatred, willful destruction, vandalism, and neglect before 1967.
It was the Jews who put the city and its population to rights with hygiene and health.
It should never be allowed to go back, even partially, to Arab rule!
Even now, when they have jurisdiction over the mosques on the Temple Mount, they have perpetrated one of history’s greatest archaeological crimes by excavating King Solomon’s halls with bulldozers and throwing the rubble into a tip together with the historical treasures it contained.
Trump’s declaration puts them in their place. It will be a pity if other leaders do not follow him.
Demographics
Furthermore, if you research Jerusalem’s demographic on the eve of Israel’s war of independence, you’ll learn that Jerusalem’s population was about 165,000 of which about two-thirds were Jews and the remaining third Christians and Muslims.
The claim, therefore, that Jerusalem is a Palestinian city is a blatant untruth.
