The American psyche is definitely in need of being way more sensitive as well as learning from the mistake of others. The education system has been hijacked for 60+ years by the Left and has only recently seen a shift to conservatism but not en masse, so homeschooling has been growing like crazy. Most conservatives do not hold onto the “we don’t have to do anything because nothing has happened here” thinking process - the Left has been notorious for this for more than 60+ years. I keep saying 60+ years as politics has held my attention for that long. But unlike many countries, we have the 2A - and more than 100 million gun owners, nearly half being veterans, that are more than willing to occasionally quench the thirst of of the tree of Liberty with blood of patriots and enemies alike. There are laws then there is enforcing the laws - a problem that has been discussed in circles since the days of Plato and Socrates… Logic says being offensive is the best defense but it never works out that way…
