From all appearances, this was funded and planned out in detail.
This means expect more such incidents somewhere, anywhere…
They are not about to waste all that time, energy, and investment on one politician.
Whomever they are, they are trying to drive the divide even greater - which is why being a shill, instigator, whatever, is only seed for future very problematic issues.
Statement from President Trump…
The Minnesota State Patrol also released this statement…
Given the targeted shootings of state lawmakers overnight, we are asking the public to not attend today’s planned (No Kings) demonstrations across Minnesota out of an abundance of caution.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident, along with law enforcement, and has activated the State Emergency Operations Center for this situation.
A manhunt is underway for the gunman, described as a white male with brown hair wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants, who escaped after a gunfight with law enforcement.
How the Press is Reporting This
Left-Leaning outlets frame the shootings primarily as a politically motivated assassination targeting democracy itself, employing charged terms like “politically motivated” and “targeted political violence” that emphasize ideological extremism and systemic threats.
In contrast, right-leaning media prioritize public safety concerns and detailed suspect descriptions, using evocative words like “madman” and “armed and dangerous” to stir caution rather than political outrage, while downplaying the political framing.
Center coverage remains factual and restrained, echoing the political motivation without partisan intensity.
Our Take
The shilling, intentional agitation, the pretending something doesn’t exist whilst creating a divisive narrative (that includes you MSM!) are bad seeds for future events.
Some will say conservatives are not innocent of all this, and they’d be correct — what they aren’t saying is that 80% of it all comes from the Left and they can’t argue that point.

Police ID Suspect in Minnesota Lawmaker Shootings as Vance Boelter
Authorities say Boelter should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone spotting him should call 911 immediately and not approach him.

Authorities have identified the suspect in a pair of targeted shootings of lawmakers and their spouses that rocked Minnesota early Saturday as 57-year-old Vance Boelter, a man with a background in security who once served on a board appointed by Gov. Tim Walz.
Boelter is accused of killing former state House Speaker Melissa Hortman (D) of Brooklyn Park and her husband, and seriously wounding State Sen. John Hoffman (D) of Champlin and his wife in separate, targeted home invasions early June 14, in what officials describe as a politically motivated assassination plot.
“We are asking for the public’s help at this point in time in locating Vance Luther Boelter,” Drew Evans, superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, said at a June 14 press briefing. Evans said anyone who spots Boelter, described as a 6'1” tall 220-pound white male with brown hair and brown eyes, to call 911 immediately.
“Do not attempt to approach him, you should consider him armed and dangerous,” Evans said.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety has opened a tip line, which includes a description indicating Boelter was last spotted wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, dark-colored, long-sleeved, collared shirt or jacket, light pants, and a dark bag.
Public records show that Boelter was appointed by Gov. Walz in 2019 to a 4-year term on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board.
He had previously served under then-Gov. Mark Dayton in 2016 as a member of the state’s Workforce Development Council.
