LiveNOW from Fox: Tulsi Gabbard Testifies On Global Threats; Kash Patel, John Ratcliffe
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence holds the Annual Worldwide Threats Assessment hearing (open session) at 2 p.m. in 390 Cannon.
WITNESSES:
The Honorable Tulsi Gabbard, Director, Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI)
The Honorable John L. Ratcliffe, Director, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
The Honorable Kash Patel, Director, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)
Lieutenant General William J. Hartman, Acting Director, National Security Agency
Lieutenant General James H. Adams, Director, Defense Intelligence Agency
This testimony before the House in Congress comes against the backdrop of the US war in Iran with Israel, as the Hormuz Straight remains closed to oil shipping for many nations.
Iran has used missiles and drones to threaten oil shipments and has bombed multiple nations across the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Dubai, the UAE, Israel, and near Lebanon and Iraq.
The Houthis in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon are another threat.
China is - so far - not involved, and Russia has reportedly offered some intelligence help to Iran.
Both are allies of the Iranian regime and the Islamic Republic.
