About Bradley Bowman
Bradley Bowman serves as the Senior Director of the Center on Military and Political Power (CMPP) at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD).
In this role, he focuses on U.S. defense strategy and policy.
The CMPP, which Bowman leads, promotes understanding of defense strategies, policies, and capabilities needed to deter threats to the freedom, security, and prosperity of Americans and their allies.
Key staff at CMPP also include Deputy Director Ryan Brobst, Senior Research Analyst Cameron McMillan, and Senior Research Analyst Justin Leopold-Cohen.
Before his current position at FDD, Bowman held several other roles, including serving as a national security advisor to members of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations committees.
He was also an active-duty U.S. Army officer, a Black Hawk pilot, and an assistant professor at West Point, where he taught Grand Strategy, Foreign Policy, and American Politics.
Bowman received an M.A. in International Relations from Yale University between 2002 and 2004.
