Getting to Know U.S History and God's Role In It All - 4
Every Monday through Friday we bring a glimpse of what you could be learning on your own concerning the history of our country as well as building a personal relationship with God as our Founders had developed…
BIBLE - Liberty, Jeremiah 34:8-22 (NKJV)
Slavery has been global for centuries - yet there were times when slaves were set free. Our Founding Fathers were not the first to own slaves and not all slaves were black as well as not all slave owners were white - that is a myth initiated by Woodrow Wilson that still haunts us today as our education system refuses to stick to the facts.
Today, we are still slaves, in part, to…
global alphabet health organizations that demand people obey their instructions “for our own good”
Liberal and RINO politicians that mistakenly believe they have all the power when it is in fact the people of the U.S.A. that have the power (they only have to claim it to regain it)
Big Tech social media platforms that are being instructed by enforcement government agencies on what to censor
MSM that refuses to do their own research and resort to name-calling and character assassination of anyone who disagrees with them
Woke corporations who forget who has their customers can vote with their wallet and end up holding an empty bag full of apologies that never help them recover
Globalists who want to make nation states a thing of the past while heralding in multi-polarity consisting of borderless spaces in front of their New World Order
Judges and Attorney Generals that want to subvert our Constitution to their own self-righteous belief system
And all of the above are either atheists, agnostics, or both.
They are doing the same thing as those who have for centuries before them, and believing - like them - they are not prone to any consequences to their self-righteous actions.
Our First Amendment gives all of us a voice - when it comes to wisdom, you’re on your own.
Something of which our Founding Fathers had in abundance.
Treacherous Treatment of Slaves
8 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people who were at Jerusalem to proclaim liberty to them: 9 that every man should set free his male and female slave—a Hebrew man or woman—that no one should keep a Jewish brother in bondage. 10 Now when all the princes and all the people, who had entered into the covenant, heard that everyone should set free his male and female slaves, that no one should keep them in bondage anymore, they obeyed and let them go. 11 But afterward they changed their minds and made the male and female slaves return, whom they had set free, and brought them into subjection as male and female slaves.
12 Therefore the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 13 “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying, 14 “At the end of seven years let every man set free his Hebrew brother, who [a]has been sold to him; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you.” But your fathers did not obey Me nor incline their ear. 15 Then you [b]recently turned and did what was right in My sight—every man proclaiming liberty to his neighbor; and you made a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My name. 16 Then you turned around and profaned My name, and every one of you brought back his male and female slaves, whom you had set at liberty, at their pleasure, and brought them back into subjection, to be your male and female slaves.’
17 “Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and every one to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,’ says the Lord—‘to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth. 18 And I will give the men who have transgressed My covenant, who have not performed the words of the covenant which they made before Me, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts of it— 19 the princes of Judah, the princes of Jerusalem, the [c]eunuchs, the priests, and all the people of the land who passed between the parts of the calf— 20 I will give them into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life. Their dead bodies shall be for meat for the birds of the heaven and the beasts of the earth. 21 And I will give Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes into the hand of their enemies, into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army which has gone back from you. 22 Behold, I will command,’ says the Lord, ‘and cause them to return to this city. They will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitant.’ ”

U.S. HISTORY - Religion versus Faith
Even after our country gained its freedom from King George, churches were not as abundant as many believe they were - many times a pastor would provide worship services in one church then in an another church the following Sunday(s).
Men took on the responsibility for the financial, moral, and spiritual status of their family - attending worship services in a ‘nearby’ church that was as much as 4 hours away by horse and carriage, less if everyone was on horseback (but not by much).
The 13 Colonies were representative of the 13 churches they left behind in jolly ole England - which turned out to be a challenge for Ben Franklin to unite for the push for independence.
Faith was VERY strong then but it was centric to the church the family attended. Religion was only the undercurrent of their faith instead of the infrastructure of their faith as it is today.
Lack of attendance by anyone was only due to sickness within the family - and it usually resulted in visitors arriving to be sure all was good.
When you get a chance, look up the personal letters and correspondence of any of the Founding Fathers. You will see that God was VERY prominent in their thoughts as well as their actions. Anyone doubting the Founding Fathers were of the faith or religious simply have ignored their own due diligence otherwise they would know how ridiculous they sound.
The strongest of these followers of faith was easily George Washington - even the American Indians mentioned that he was blessed way beyond the normal man give that bullets would whiz by him but never hit him (his military coat bares this out).
Today, there are revivals happening, churches growing in attendance. Not as a matter of religion - but as a matter of a personal relationship with God, out of faith.
Religion is the doctrine of man, faith exposes the doctrines of God, Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ. They are only exposed while pursuing a relationship with them - the Bible helps as it has not changed since the first Bible. One only have to go through an interlinear Bible of the Aramaic, Greek, Hebrew, and English side-by-side translations (Aramaic was the market language during the time of Christ’s time on earth, anyone wanting to do trade needed to know how to speak Aramaic - there were no stores, supermarkets, Starbucks, canned goods, etc at the time, nearly everything was sold in bulk and in the town square or straight off the mule’s back).
Those wishing to get to know God better need only to start reading the Bible, start exploring nearby churches. And pay attention to those thoughts that creep in - not the ones that tell you what you are doing is crazy but to those that tell you what to do next that will result in a closer relationship with Him.
We, as a country, are WAY too distant from our God compared to how close our Founding Fathers were - it would do well to explore organizations like Wall Builders, PragerU, Hillsdale Online Education for starters. If you have a favorite, share in our comments.
