The comment you gave that "the streets of Seattle and Portland are ablaze" is a complete BS LIE. Both cities have gone out of their way to demonstrate peacefully and they had ZERO incidents. EVERYTHING DT claimed was a complete fabrication. How do I know? I've lived in Portland for almost 40 years and have friends and family up in Seattle. I personally KNOW the areas that Trump claimed (as you claimed without ANY fact-checking on your part) and NOTHING happened in any of those areas (same goes for Seattle). You should know better. I also know several LE folk here in Portland and that's their story as well. So, NO neighborhood turned into a "war zone", the federal troops have NOT been attacked nor any of the other reckless claims you spewed. You're acting like an 'echo chamber' for DT. Really, Glen, is that all you can do??
The "No Kings" movement is very clear about their purpose. It's simply to make the point that Trump's ongoing efforts in creating a fascist country is an effort to negate Democracy while continuing to violate Constitutional law, use the military against citizens he chooses (Blue states). The use of ICE is, in everyway, a copycat effort of the Nazi Gestapo of the 30's as well as his continuing efforts in not upholding the constitutional principle of 'due process.'

However, Clinton foolishly signed the Telecommunications Act of '95 that went the opposite of the direction that accountability would have taken news organizations and would have included cable networks as well as mainstream broadcasts. Antifa is NOT a connected organization and whatever you believe they are 'demanding' in terms of changes, is relatively NOT a part of the Democratic Party's desire to overcome Trump's traitorous behavior.

The movement however is similar to how you described the 'Boston Tea Party' as out of 7M people there were NO arrests of any marchers. "No torch business"??? Another BS comment: did you know that the violence and vandalism re previous marches like BLM, the FBI found (through infiltration of 'white-supremacist orgs' had carried out plans to instigate "violence and vandalism" to spoil the marches. Where was ANTIFA this weekend, DL? We didn’t see the destruction and mindless violence Trump and JD Vance were predicting. I’m afraid they were disappointed. They had their troops at the ready, but there was only millions os people peacefully protesting. They just couldn’t stir up a good riot no matter what they did. I can imagine the deep disappointment in Washington. The most violence came from, guess who? The Trump administration. A minister, kneeling in prayer is shot in the head with a rubber bullet and fell to the ground, unconscious. The bullet didn’t come from ANTIFA or a protester. The shooter will never be revealed, of course, because would be suspect? A National Guardsman, of course. What Trump’s goon squad, aka ICE and the National Guars hoped would ensue was a violent protest so they could make a show of quelling it with violence. It didn’t work. So, let’s try making some arrests for violence against the police and military. Oh yes, and the masked Goon Squad too. We are asked to believe that shouting insults at all the police, national guard and the masked thugs of ICE, constituted violence that required arrest? I don’t see anyone getting convicted. Especially since the “law and types started it. So, what to do next? Hey, let’s go to California and have the military fire live artillery across the busiest interstate, I-5. Not even the military could believe that. But, since they answer to the President, they did it. Fortunately an adult was present, Gov. Newspm, closed the stretch of I-5 that would become a firing range, even though JD said there was no danger. But, one rocket exploded prematurely. So who was right? Among those NOT right: JD Vance, Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth and the military-for not registering a strong resistance to the idiotic plan. And, that STILL didn’t stir up a violent protest. Just total amazement that our own government and military would even consider such a plan. Maybe Trump can sign an executive order outlawing dancing frogs, ‘gators, mushrooms, chickens, etc.

Granted, Christians account for a malor part of our citizenry, but, our religion or lack of religion, is a private matter. Our laws allow for our citizens to follow their own religion or follow no religion. We are required to follow only federal, state and local law. When we say “No Kings” we mean we were NOT founded as a Monarchy. You may play around with your idea of what it means, but the meaning is simple enough for all to understand. We are not and have no wish to be a Monarchy. Or an Anarchy, an Olgarchy or a Plutocracy.
