An Open Letter to the Canadian People
How Ottawa Mayor's Beliefs Tips the Card to What Trudeau's Vision is for Canada
Let’s start with this spot post from Armstrong Economics…
Ottawa Mayor Suggests Selling Confiscated Trucks
Mayor Jim Watson of Ottawa is proposing using the powers granted by the Emergencies Act to sell off the confiscated trucks. Over 170 people have been arrested along with nearly 50 trucks. Watson said that he believes the funds should be used to pay for the costs the city incurred during the protest, but the real reason he wants to sell off the trucks is to further punish the protestors. “I want to see them sold. I don’t want them returned to these people [archive] who’ve been causing such frustration and angst in our community,” Watson said. “You can’t come to Ottawa anymore and shut down our city for four weeks.”
They are taking away these protestors’ livelihoods and leaving them with nothing left to lose. Civil forfeiture permits the government to seize property and assets. All they need to do is claim that a crime was committed. This is a very common practice and governments are the greatest thieves. Countless police agencies factor in confiscated assets in their budget.
Trudeau has suspended all civil liberties. He is attempting to use the truckers as an example – do not disobey or else.
Government theft originated as an ancient law that the King of England adopted as a means to pretend he was God and entitled to confiscate everyone’s money on a whim. The United States Supreme Court in J.W. Goldsmith Jr., Grant Co. v. The United States, 254 U.S. 505 (1922), noted the origins of government forfeiture power in the historical practice of Deodand.
The court cited Sir William Blackstone (1723–1780) in his “Commentaries of the Laws of England,” which noted that this practice extended back to the times of ancient Greece. A Deodand is something forfeited or given to God, specifically, in law, an object or instrument that becomes forfeited because it has caused a person’s death. The English common law of Deodands traces back to the 11th century and was applied, on and off, until Parliament finally abolished it in 1846. Deodand is not technically practiced in the United States or Canada, yet it has transformed into the government’s right to seize your property even if you have done nothing wrong. The object commits the offense, not you.
So what does the Canadian Constitution say about Liberty?
Right to Life, Liberty, and Security of the Person
Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects our right to “life, liberty, and security of the person.” It guarantees our legal rights, which protect our personal autonomy and bodily integrity from laws or actions by the government that violate those rights. However, government action that harms these rights is not enough to violate the Charter. Section 7 is violated only when the government infringes these rights in a way that goes against the principles of fundamental justice.

Trudeau’s strategy was to implement the Emergencies Act - unfortunately for him, the conditions for implementing this Act were not met.
But what are the details of ANY alumni of the World Economic Forum youth Global Leaders program?
In a word - nothing…
We know this as there are strict safeguards in place to keep the power of this Act from being abused, as noted in the lower right of the image below (source [archive])…
There were very few complaints from the citizens of Ottawa to the Freedom Convoy and those that did complain did have their demands met.
The truckers also contributed to the community such as shoving snow and ice the city left behind on the sidewalks and providing food to many who had needs.
The citizens of Ottawa also made sure the truckers were comfortable by providing food and entertainment when and where possible.
Even the Canadian Parliament was urging Trudeau to stop his childish antics while those in the Parliament as well as his cabinet who are also alumni of the WEF Youth Global Leaders program supported Trudeau…
This is why the U.S. government was intentionally set up for the government to fear the people - Trudeau and his WEF YGL alumni and those who want to follow Trudeau do not fear the people, they could not care less about the people…
This is why our First and Second Amendments are SO IMPORTANT
Notice politicians who have a problem with our 2A have a problem with just a few words…
“A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
The Left and RINOs will debate, bicker, and redefine just one word - infringed
The Founders JUST CAME OFF A WAR WITH THE LARGEST GLOBAL POWER AND WON.
The breaking point wasn’t taxes, wasn’t religion (though it was a very strong contention) - it was their guns.
Most of the Founders had studied government history very thoroughly - John Adams had more than 300 books shipped from Europe just on this topic for his then the Founders’ purpose of educating themselves on what didn’t and what did work in the past.
Mind you, books then were very expensive as was making sure they were shipped so they were to arrive dry.
Their personal letters, the documents they wrote, and what others of the time have said about the Founders NEVER indicate there should be ANY limit to “… the right of the people to keep and bear arms”, which only puts that much more weight onto the last 4 words of our Second Amendment, “… shall not be infringed.”
So, given Jim Watson feels he should sell the truckers’ rigs for their peaceful demonstration and Trudeau has said squat about not doing so - then it is very said the Left in Canada has no fear of the people.
Let there be no mistake - the 4 weeks the truckers demonstrated in Ottawa were NOT in vain.
It raised awareness of several things, most of the rights being abused and usurped by the likes of Watson and in-hiding Trudeau.
What is next is up to the people of Canada - their fight has only just begun…
Trudeau has been recorded as sharing his love for China as they can get things done quickly, no matter what the Chinese government wants to do.
If Watson and Trudeau keep on their current path, that is EXACTLY what will be happening to the Canadian people…
And their Charter of Rights will be as useful as tinder to a bonfire…
The question is, who will be lighting that fire?
Watson?
Trudeau??
Or the Canadian people???
