A Message of Hope and Resolve
The resolve of Israelis should never be underestimated, they embrace the eternal perspective - not just the now
The Intended Audience
Though Hillel’s message is for Yehudim (Latinized masculine plural form meaning Jews), it would do well for Christians to read this as well as YHWH is for Jew and Gentile alike.
Note: YHWH is properly pronounced without moving your lips nor tongue, mouth partly open, breathing in on YH and breathing out on WH…

Hillel’s Message
As published on his X account…
Dear fellow Yehudim,
I have some things to tell you.
We, as a nation, have not been this devastated since Auschwitz.
In fact, one can make the claim that we are even more devastated now because this happened on our watch, Oct 7th happened in our own home.
Unfortunately, as a people, we know loss, we know mourning, we know devastation.
We know it all too well.
But we also know resilience.
We know survival.
We know what it means to flourish under pressure.
We know what it means to innovate as they persecute!
So let me tell you a couple of things that you’d never know from reading the news or your social media feeds.
Allow me to explain how this media thing works.
Basically?
It’s broken.
Whether it’s mainstream media or social media, the only things that matter to most people and companies are clicks and the only thing that gets clicks is extremism and controversial rhetoric.
So, while it’s hard to see the truth beyond your feeds, I will let you know that what you see in the media is absolutely NOT a reflection of real life.
I will share a message I got from a friend yesterday who lives in upstate NY.
One thing I’ve noticed is that you and most of the other Israelis I talk to seem to be under the impression that support for Israel here is very low.
I guess that’s what’s being reported in the media, but I think the opposite is actually true.
I think most people here are very strongly supportive of Israel, more so than ever.
But in the big cities where there are concentrations of radical leftist or big Palestinian populations, there are a lot of very high-profile demonstrations.
But I just don’t think they reflect the mood here.
Just about everyone I know who is interested in the war effort has remained firmly pro-Israel.
Also, lots of people I know who didn’t care much before reached out to give their support as well.
The fact is that the Palestinian camp has been very loud and very effective at getting a certain message out.
They have gotten a ton of attention.
I don’t think that translates to actual support though. Im sure it looks different in NYC, Philly, or LA, but in small-town America, I see Israeli flags on houses…
His message got me thinking.
It got me thinking about “Our side” vs “Their side.”
The fact that this war and every war Israel before it that Israel was forced into, is a war between good and evil, could not be more obvious.
It also could not be any clearer that Israel is winning this war big time.
Yes, we are losing children every day and it freakin kills but if you thought we were going to win this war without massive losses, you were kidding yourself.
It hurts like hell but that’s war and war sucks.
But Israel is kicking some serious Hamas tuchus.
They know it.
The world knows it. And we need to know it.
They’ve lost control of Gaza.
Half of their leadership are now hanging out with virgins.
Not that they care, but they’ve brought mass destruction onto “their people.”
Even ISIS condemned Hamas.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Yes, there are lunatics in the streets and on X declaring their support for Hamas; but we know who has the loudest bark.
Those people are just loud.
They have no power or influence and they know that.
That’s why they spend their time and money using bots, calling names, spreading hate, and blocking roads.
Like a little child throwing a tantrum.
The vast majority of the civilized world sees Israel and how it’s the only democracy in the Middle East.
The world sees Israel as the country that revolutionized agriculture, cancer research, mental health, computing, healthcare, and on and on.
And then the world sees Hamas and the people who elected them.
They see a death cult.
They see a savage group of people who live to die.
A people who glorify death and have contributed a whopping zero to the betterment of our world. Zero.
It might not seem this way and we feel alone when reading Sky News, CNN, The NY Times, and the rest of the failed media, but not only are we not alone, we have most of the civilized world behind us.
I truly think Hamas has buried any chance of getting broad support.
After what they did, anyone who doesn’t speak up against them, is condoning what they did.
No moral ethical person could see those atrocities and not be shocked to their core.
So, just know, fellow Yehudim, the world is dark.
The world is full of lies.
The threat of antisemitism is a very real one.
Our enemies are truly barbaric.
All of that is true.
But what is also true is that we are winning.
Hamas will be no more pretty soon.
We are operating on the battlefield while also exploring diplomatic angles to bring our hostages back.
Yes, the pro-Hamas protests are real and they are scary.
What is also real is that those people are absolutely not the majority.
They are despised by the majority.
We are on the right side of history.
Morality is on our side and don’t let anyone make you doubt that.
And I have one more thing to say.
Every Jew, when asked what is the happiest day of the Jewish calendar, knows it’s Purim.
We dress up, we eat, we drink, we laugh, we celebrate.
Do you know what Purim was?
It was the best genocide of the Jewish people.
We wrote this close to being annihilated.
And now we celebrate.
If you had lived in the time of Purim and I would have told you that one day, we’ll celebrate that day, you would have yelled at me and called me insensitive.
You might have even unfollowed me on Twitter if I dared suggest that we’ll one day celebrate on this day.
But we do.
And, I am telling you, I am guaranteeing you, that we will celebrate Simchat Torah [archive] again.
We will dance like we never danced before.
We will hug our Torah scrolls tighter than we ever did.
Yes, we’ll always shed a tear for our lost heroes and our devastated families, but we will also celebrate our victory over evil.
We will sing and dance to celebrate our survival against all odds.

We will smile and laugh to thank Hashem [archive] for helping us eliminate evil from this world.
We will always remember the light of the Jewish people and how we all stepped up.
We will celebrate the wins.
We will dance again!!
So please, my fellow Yehudim, hold your head up high.
Know you’re one of the good guys.
Know that Hashem is in your corner and He loves you.
He loves us all.
Know that the IDF is strong and resilient while also maintaining its humanity and compassion for every lost hero.
Know that the world is with us.
As hard as it is, ignore the noise because that’s all it is, noise.
We will win.
We are winning.
We will continue to win.
And just know, like we celebrate Purim and Hanukah, and Passover, all stories that could have ended very differently, we will celebrate Simchat Torah again.
It’s not a question of if. It’s only a question of when.
We got this.
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
We are a nation that has always proven that we are exponentially stronger than the sum of our parts.
Our strength is in our unity and we have never been more unified.
The enemy knows it and trust me when I tell you, it terrifies them.
As it should!
Their end is near and we, the Jewish people, will rebuild and we will come out stronger on the other side.
We always do!
They are done and we, the Jewish people, are only just getting started.
