2nd Court Hearing for Accused Charlie Kirk Assassin Tyler Robinson
Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old Utahan who is accused of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk, had a court hearing Monday, 29 September 2025.
Robinson has been in the Utah County jail in Spanish Fork since he was arrested 2 days after police say he fatally shot Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, on Sept. 10 while Kirk was speaking in front of thousands of people at Utah Valley University.
Utah County prosecutors have charged Robinson with 7 counts, including aggravated murder.
He also faces charges accusing him of illegally discharging a firearm, obstructing justice, witness tampering, and committing violence in the presence of children.
He faces a potential death penalty if he is convicted.
The Prosecution brought about a critical point concerning ‘all witnesses’ as noted by the judge filed over the weekend concerning pre-trial and trial protection order.
As there were more the 2000 students who witnessed the shooting, the process to identify all witnesses will be a massive and ongoing process.
Seeking clarification from the judge concerning the term all witnesses, all parties agreed that any information concerning witnesses that is gained during the trial, that the information is conveyed to all parties as the witnesses become known.
